Master the Digital SAT

The Digital SAT is the new computerized version of the SAT, introduced by College Board in 2024. It features adaptive testing, is shorter than the paper test (2 hours 14 minutes), and consists of two sections: Reading & Writing and Math. The test adapts to your performance, making it more personalized and efficient.

The Digital SAT is 2 hours and 14 minutes long. The Reading & Writing section is 64 minutes (two 32-minute modules with 27 questions each), and the Math section is 70 minutes (two 35-minute modules with 22 questions each). This is significantly shorter than the old paper SAT which took about 3 hours.

The Digital SAT has two main sections: Reading & Writing (54 questions covering vocabulary, reading comprehension, grammar, and expression) and Math (44 questions covering algebra, advanced math, problem-solving, data analysis, and geometry). Both sections use adaptive testing where the second module's difficulty adjusts based on your first module performance.

The Digital SAT is not necessarily easier, but it is different. The shorter passages and adaptive format can feel less overwhelming to some students. However, the scoring is calibrated to be equivalent to the paper test. Students who prepare specifically for the digital format tend to perform better.
